Introduction of Disk Granulator
The disk granulator takes the arc structure, and the granulation rate can rate up to 93 or more. There are three discharging ports of the granulating disk, which is convenient to producing work with the medium intermittent in order to lower the labor intensity and to improve the working efficiency.
Particles processed by this granulator are of the same size. This disc granulator has the features of simple structure, high granulating efficiency, reliable performance, easy operation, and longer service life, etc.
This disc granulato is widely used in gold concentrator, coal mine, chemical plant, construction and foundry for quantitative and even feeding, and also suitable for conveying of materials with granularity less than 50mm.
Features of Disk Granulator
1. The disk angle is designed with circular arc structure. Hence, the granulation rate may reach 93% or above.
2. The disk of our disc granulator is designed with three discharging holes, which is convenient for intermittent production work. This largely reduces labor intensity and increases working efficiency.
3. The reducer and motor of our disc granulator are both driven by flexible belt, which ensures stable start, reduced impact force, and longer service life.
4. Disc bottom is reinforced by multi-strip radiation steel plates, so it is wear resistant, durable and will never deform.
5. Thickened and strengthened granulator-base provides our disc granulator with stable operation.
6. The main gear is processed by high-frequency quenching technique. As a result, the lifetime of our disc granulator is greatly prolonged.
7. The granulator disk is lined with glass reinforced plastics, which is anti-corrosive and durable.
Working principle of Disk Granulator
The disk grain making machine uses the pre-watering overall balling method. The raw material powders are evenly moistened by the atomized water in the double-shaft mixer and form nuclear bulges with even granularity, and then they are sent to the balling disk to become balls. The water content of the balls should be controlled in the range of 12~14%.
The water should be added when the raw materials are in the double-shaft mixer and in the balling disk, only a small amount of supplementary water can be added and the supplementary water amount should be controlled in the range of 0~3%.
When making dry powders, water should be directly added into the balling disk and the workers should spray property amount of water. When the raw material ball bulges go into the balling disk, they will move along the parabola under the eccentric force, frictional force and gravity.
The powder material rolls in a certain trace under the function of these three forces. It gradually becomes the required size, then overflows by the pan edge. It has the advantages of high granulating rate, homogeneous grain, high strength, easy to operate, convenient maintenance
