Introduction of coal mill
Coal mill is the important auxiliary equipment for a coal-powder furnace, it has three methods to crush the coal lump and grind them into powder, they are: crushing, impacting and grinding.
It is often used for grinding coal with various forms of hardness and the raw ore pulverizing system in cement, metallurgy and chemical industry.
Air swept coal mill is the main equipment in cement plant for both drying and grinding of the powders. Compared with the ordinary ball mill, it has advantages of higher capacity, more convenient operation, safer usage, and more reliable performance.
Coal mill is used to grind, pulverize and dry coal before the coal is transmitted the boiler. The coal is feed into the coal mill via an inlet pipe so that the roller coal mill such as ball mill or vertical mill can pulverize the coal into particles.
Features of coal mill
1. Reliable performance. The edge transmission. The motor drives the mill through the reducer and the big and small gears.
2. Safer usage. The air swept structure with drying chamber leads to the greater adaptability to the water content of raw coal.
3. Higher yield. The grinding chamber adopts the combined arrangement of stepped lining board, double stepped lining board and corrugated lining board to improve its processing ability.
4. Convenient operation. The feeding device adopts oblique wind louver structure, which enhances the heat exchange capacity and effectively prevents the blocking phenomenon.
Working principle of coal mill
The raw material is fed into mill by feeding equipment. The hot wind enters into the mill by inlet end. As the mill cylinder rotates, the coal and hot air exchange heat in the mill.
The coal is crushed and ground in the mill. When the coal is ground, the powder is brought out of the mill by the hot air going through the mill.
